Methods Engineer
Mission
The Methods Engineer is responsible for ensuring the technical feasibility and proper execution of production projects, maintaining consistency between development, client requirements, and production constraints. They anticipate technical issues, propose appropriate solutions, and secure production launches while ensuring smooth handover between development and assembly phases.
Responsibilities
- Analyze client requests and participate in the technical study of projects
- Ensure that developer and/or client expectations are accurately reflected in prototypes and final products
- Verify the reliability of chosen materials and production processes
- Detect technical risks or blocking points upstream before production starts
- Develop parts lists as needed according to project specifications
- Process and analyze project reports (non-conformities, technical remarks, etc.)
- Ensure the link between development and production teams (handover between Development and Production)
- Anticipate potential difficulties during assembly phase to avoid delays or disruptions
- Order necessary parts for production
- Verify touch-ups to be performed before continuing manufacturing
- Intervene as technical reference in case of problems encountered
- Propose quick and effective technical solutions
- Participate in continuous improvement of production processes and feedback from completed projects
Requirements
- Technical background in mechanical engineering, industrial production, methods, or equivalent
- Experience in a similar position in an industrial environment or complex product manufacturing (miniatures, manual assembly, etc.) is a plus
- Good understanding of technical drawings and production constraints
- Rigor, anticipation skills, analytical thinking, reactivity, and autonomy
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work across multiple teams
- Good level of French and English; knowledge of Chinese is a plus
