Fixed Assets Manager
Mission
The Fixed Assets Manager will be responsible for managing all company assets and equipment, from acquisition to disposal or retirement, to ensure proper management of company resources. He/she will report to the Chief Accountant on a permanent contract.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other departments and services, particularly technical departments (maintenance, production, purchasing) to ensure physical investment tracking
- Update the fixed asset database from technical information and delivery receipts; maintain work-in-progress tracking
- Ensure labeling and physical inventory of fixed assets; participate in physical inventory campaigns and reconcile results with accounting
- Organize fixed asset disposals; manage fixed asset tracking documents: acceptance reports, commissioning reports, write-off reports, invoice copies, etc.
- Ensure completeness of documents and compliance with procedures for commissioning and writing off fixed assets
- Monitor ongoing investment projects (work-in-progress) and send transfers to Accounting
- Maintain the fixed asset register; produce dashboards on the fixed asset portfolio (net values, types, locations, changes, etc.)
- Analyze variances between budget and actual investments
- Participate in investment budget preparation and forecasts; provide data for internal and external audits
- Ensure reliability of information in the fixed asset management software
- Respond to management controllers, statutory auditors, or tax auditors
- Implement and monitor internal control procedures related to fixed assets
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree (Bac+2 or +3) in accounting, management, or finance
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in an industrial environment
- Methodical, rigorous, and with integrity
- Strong analytical and initiative skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Sage Accounting, and Sage Fixed Assets
- Fluent French; English is a plus
